Parents: Whether your child rides an electric bike, a regular bicycle, or a scooter, safety comes first! Make sure your child is ready, responsible & follows these important safety tips from the LCSO:

  • Follow traffic laws when used on roadways
  • Always wear a helmet – no “just around the block” exceptions
  • Practice in safe areas, like empty parking lots
  • Set clear rules about where they should and shouldn’t ride
  • No headphones – they need to hear traffic!
  • Wear bright/reflective gear, especially at dusk
  • Regularly check equipment
