Stone Ridge’s Invasive Plant Removal Project
Stone Ridge is taking action to remove invasive plants and restore native habitat around the dry pond off Millstream Drive. The Association recently received approval for funding through Loudoun County’s Invasive Plant Species Management Program (IPSMP). With that support, work is now underway to control invasive plants that have spread throughout the area and help restore a healthier, more resilient landscape. Check out the October Etched In Stone for more information on the project.
Blasting Underway at Shah/Cross Development Site
Please be aware scheduled blasting is underway at the Shah/Cross development site off Gum Spring Road. Blasting will occur around 1 PM each day and last 15–20 minutes. For everyone’s safety and awareness, a warning horn will sound a few moments before blasting begins. Please stay indoors and away from the site during this time. Blasting activities are expected to continue Monday through Friday through October 11. Each blasting event will follow the same schedule and safety procedures, including the warning horn prior to blasting. We understand this work may cause a temporary inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding. For questions and more information on Van Metre’s development project, call 703-348-5824.
