Snow Treatment & Removal
Treatment on private roads will begin this afternoon and continue until complete. Plowing on private roads will begin when 2 inches have accumulated.  Within the Stone Ridge community there are several different entities who provide snow plowing services. Click here for a full listing of who plows each street. You can track VDOT plows & view live traffic cameras at www.vdotplows.org.

PARKING: Please park your car in your driveway or in a designated parking space. DO NOT PARK IN FIRE LANES. Cars parked on the street make the job much more difficult for the snow plows & you may have to deal with the task of digging your car out if it’s plowed in.
DRIVEWAYS: When you shovel your driveway, please toss the snow back into your yard – not in the street. Less snow helps the plows clear the streets more efficiently.
SIDEWALKS: Homeowners are responsible for clearing the sidewalk in front of their home.

Local human and sex trafficking are much more prevalent than most people realize in Northern Virginia. Stone Ridge resident Alton Bryant is the Awareness Coordinator at Reset180, an organization dedicated to eradicating trafficking from our area. Reset180 believes that prevention through awareness and education is extremely important in that mission. Please join Alton for a Human Trafficking 101 presentation on Jan. 31 at the Nettle Mill Clubhouse at 6:30 PM. These presentations empower the local community to not only help prevent local human trafficking in the community, but also help attendees identify and report it. Past tips from the community have led to recovering local survivors and prosecuting traffickers. The presentation is for residents aged 16 and up only.
