High School Boundaries Changes:
Monday, 25 Feb 6:30 pm at LCPS admin building, Ashburn VA.
Public Hearing and Work session on new High School Boundaries. The Dulles South Area Secondary School Attendance Zone Change Process is underway. The initial briefing provided by LCPS staff to the Board last week can be found at:
The briefing includes two “plans”, proposed by staff for discussion purposes. Board members will begin the process of evaluating these and proposing their own plans. The website also has a link by which members of the public can sign up to speak at the public hearing.
Boundaries under discussion are Freedom/Lunsford, Champe/Mercer, and Light Ridge/Willard.
4th Tuesday School Board Meeting, including policy changes relating to the LGBTQ community:

This is the scheduled Board Meeting held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays. Of particular interest is the action item 10.05, proposed changes to the LCPS Equal Opportunity Policy. A link to the proposed changes can be found here:

Contact the Superintendent’s Office at 571-252-1020 or via email at email@example.com prior to 5:00 p.m. the day of the School Board meeting. You will be asked to provide your name, address and telephone number, subject matter, and organization represented, if applicable. The Public Information Officer or designee will accept walk-in registrations in the media box at the back of the Board room up to five (5) minutes prior to the posted start time of the Board meeting.
School Board Member Town Hall about High School Boundaries:
Wednesday, 27 Feb at 7:00 pm at Mercer Middle School.
I will be hosting a town hall meeting to discuss boundary changes and receive community input regarding the upcoming High School Boundary Changes in the Dulles (South)/Blue Ridge districts. There will be an opportunity for residents to provide feedback concerning boundary issues.
