Loudoun Workforce Resource Center Hosts Holiday Hiring Event October 4
The Loudoun Workforce Resource Center will host a ‘Holiday Hiring Hoopla’ event on Thursday, October 4, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the center. The holidays may be several weeks away, but now is the time to network with employers who have immediate opportunities available for seasonal jobs.
Not only does seasonal employment allow for earning some extra cash for the holidays; most businesses offer generous employee discounts, too. Featured employers at the event include: Amazon Prime Now, Jockey Outlet Store, Lansdowne Resort and Spa, Lord & Taylor, Sparks Group, The Home Depot, The Salvation Army, UPS, Walmart, and Wegmans, with more employers expected to be added.
“Loudoun businesses are eager to start hiring seasonal associates to ensure they are fully staffed and ready during the peak of the shopping season,” said Employer Services Coordinator Michael Bozeth.
During the ‘Holiday Hiring Hoopla’ event, job seekers will also have the opportunity to tour the Workforce Resource Center and sign up for future job preparation workshops, all offered at no cost. Light snacks will be provided; to RSVP visit www.eventleaf.com/Hoopla.
